KALUGURAN in my amanung sisuan (mother tongue), that is Kapampangan, may mean LOVED or FRIEND.

How about KALUG URAN? There's no such combination of words in the language. But each has its own meaning. KALUG means SHAKE and URAN means RAIN.

How did I come up with this title in my site? Well, I really love the rain.

I used to draw raindrops on the ground while my childhood friends were drawing suns when the sky is cloudy. That's my way to call on God to let the heavens open and pour out my one and only wish. My friends would even sing "Rain, rain go away, come again another day..." but I would sing my favorite Kapampangan folksongs about rain.

One of my childhood dream is to take a shower under the rain. It never happen because I am an obedient daughter to my parents who always tell me I will get sick if I'll do that. When it rains, I simply sit down beside our door and am content watching it pours while I am playing with my paper boats. Anyway, just to have the real experience, my professor in one of my creative writing subjects in college, told me to revised my essay about my beloved friend rain after I have enjoyed that first shower. And so my dream came true! ;)

I really love the rain that I even ask God for it on my 18th birthday. My birthday is in summer and it hardly rain during this season. But the Lord loves me so much and He knows how to pursue me with my sweet nothings of my heart. A gift of SUMMER RAIN He gave. That's how sweet is my LOVER.

I love URAN. And I also love KALUG people. No, not shaky people but the PINOY KALOG. Kalog is an idiomatic expression used to refer to funny, joker, extrovert, and/or happy-go-lucky people, not to mention the other silly things. I think I'm not that kind of person. But I want to be someone who can cheer and make my friends smile if not laugh. But more than that I always want to be unique. And I am. I thank God that I am not a happy-go-lucky but a joyful-go-blessed person ;)

And I want to be a KALUGURAN of everyone. Not just friend and not just loved but someone who befriends and loves ;) That's how my LOVER and BEST FRIEND to me and how HE would want me to be. "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you think happiness is all about sunshine, I guess nobody has told you about dancing in the rain.

Heavy rains reminds us of challenges in life. Never ask for lighter rain, just a better umbrella.

Raindrops are the bravest things ever created by God... because they are never afraid of falling.

There's always a rainbow after the rain.

Sometimes, rainbow comes before the rain--just right in time to remind us of God's faithfulness, and that He is our shield when the storm comes.
